Los Duboncitos was the site of one of the first massacres. The story is told by Miriam Dubón Castillo, who is both a survivor and a victim: her mother was murdered. Miriam and her two sisters were saved from the massacre by their paternal grandmother.
Miriam Dubón lives in Guarjila with her family. She was part of the first board of directors of the Association of Survivors of the Sumpul Massacre and Other Massacres of Chalatenangoo.
